In a thrilling European Cup quarter-final clash between two of the top sides in the competitionâ Barcelona and Frankfurt were unable to find a winner. The match was decided on VAR reviewâ as Barcelona's controversial penalty was ruled out. In the second halfâ Frankfurt went ahead after a Barcelona corner was cleared only as far as Knauffâ who unleashed a dipping half-volley beyond Marc-Andre ter Stegen. West Hamâ meanwhileâ were hit by two attempts on goal and a goalkeeping error from Davide Zappacosta. RB Leipzig improved after half-timeâ howeverâ and equalised just before the hour mark when Davide Zappacosta's header went in off the crossbar. The result leaves West Ham in the last eight of the Europa League and will face Lyon in the semi-finals. Marseille are heavy favourites to reach the next round of the competition. After beating Basel and Gent in the last roundâ Marseille are set for another run deep into the competition. Their impressive start to the competition saw them win a commanding 6-1 over Qarabag. Payet is known for his highlight-reel goals. And his goal against PAOK was no different. Standing just 30 yards from goalâ he unleashed a one-hopper into the upper-right corner of the goal. The goal was a beautyâ as the striker beat PAOK keeper Alexandros Paschalakis to the ball. Cengiz Under's corner kick was delivered with pinpoint accuracyâ and Payet lashed it into the upper 90. The Frenchman's goal was the highlight of the match for the fans.
