Vice President Mike Pence Calls For End of Nuclear Talks With Iran

Vice President Mike Pence has called on the Biden administration to end the nuclear talks with Iran‚ saying that they should express their support for organized opposition in Iran. It is important that the US make it clear that Iran will never be able to develop a nuclear weapon. However‚ some question whether this is a wise move.

MANZA (Albania) -- On Thursday‚ former Vice President Mike Pence condemned the Iranian regime's brutality. He urged the Biden Administration not to renew a nuke deal with Tehran and said it would encourage Irans leadership. Pence flew over 5‚000 miles (8‚800 kilometers) from Indiana to Albania in order to visit Ashraf-3 Camp. This camp is home to about 3‚000 Iranian dissidents of the Mujahedeen e-Khalq. Pence attacked Tehran's brutality‚ poverty‚ and corruption‚ speaking at the camp close to a small mountain town‚ 30 km (19 miles) from Tirana. Pence claimed that President Ebrahim Rashi‚ who he described as a mass killer and brutally murdered 30‚000 prisoners in 1988‚ was elected to power. This was done to intimidate Iran's people into silence. He visited also the museum at the camp that details the execution or death of as many as 120‚000 Iranians in the period since 1979‚ when the Islamist regime was established. As a Marxist organization‚ the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq was founded in opposition to Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's rule. The group supported the 1979 Islamic Revolution but fell out with Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini soon after. It then turned against Khomeini's clerical government and began a string of bombings and assassinations in the Islamic Republic. Later‚ the MEK fled to Iraq where they backed Saddam Hussein in his eight-year bloody war against Iran. This led many Iranians to reject the MEK. The group is largely located in Albania but claims it has a network within Iran. Pence celebrated the moment he governed with Donald Trump‚ when they cancelled the Iran nuclear agreement. He also mentioned the sanctions placed on Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard. This led to Iran's oil exports dropping to almost zero. Pence cautioned that a renewed agreement with Iran will not block Iran's pathway to nuclear weapons. According to him‚ a deal with Iran would be detrimental for the Iranian people. It will only empower and enrich an corrupt regime which has tortured and tortured Iranians for many generations. Pence called on the Biden Administration to withdraw immediately from any nuclear negotiations with Tehran and to voice support for Iranian organized opposition. He also stressed that America and its allies would never allow Tehran to acquire a nuclear weapon. ——- Llazar Semini on Twitter: https://twitter.com/lsemini
