The Man City draw against Liverpool was a disappointing result for the Reds‚ but the win is important. The Reds are in the thick of the title race with Manchester City 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table‚ with Liverpool six points adrift. Both sides are in the form of their life with a game in hand and a home game against Huddersfield coming up next. Two months ago‚ Manchester City held a 13-point lead in the English Premier League‚ but that lead is gone after their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace. With Liverpool playing twice before City next plays‚ they can still leapfrog the Citizens despite the draw. This is mainly due to the fact that the Reds have a better goal difference. It's a tough task for either team‚ but it will be important for both to win the next games to keep their title hopes alive. A draw against Manchester City could further boost Liverpool's hopes of staying up with City.
If they are able to win their remaining games‚ the title race will remain a two-team procession. However‚ Liverpool has a game in hand against Manchester City and they have to win every one of them to stay up. The Premier League season is a long and hard grind‚ but Liverpool can do it. The only problem now is that they need to win more of their remaining matches to remain in the title race.
