It was a near-perfect night for MMA as Bobby Green put on a devastating striking clinic against Nasrat Haqparast to score a decision win at UFC 271 on Saturday night. The 24-year-old from California has now won six consecutive fights and is currently 6-0 in the UFC. After beating Evan Dunham at UFC 266 in August, Green is now undefeated in eight bouts. The dominant performance in this bout was not his first victory. He had won earlier in his career against Clay Guida, Al Iaquinta, and Daniel Cormier. After winning his UFC 271 lightweight bout over Nasrat Haqparast in the first round, Green continued to pressure Haqparast. He busted his opponent open in the second round and landed significant strikes. In the third round, Haqparast was able to increase his output volume with one-twos, but was outclassed by Green's strikes and counterpunches. In the final two rounds, Green did not slowed down and landed a number of powerful blows to the face of the champion. Although the results weren't quite as expected, it was still a good night for MMA fans.

Several notable names were on the main card, including Dustin Poirier and Tony Ferguson. Despite losing to Andrade in the prelims, the UFC still showed a compelling MMA bout that will make fight fans swoon. The next UFC event will be held in Houston, Texas on Feb. 12.
